1. Energy – Conscious Design & Green Buildings

   The 16th ASA Technical Weekend seminar “Energy – Conscious Design & Green Buildings” is on Saturday, March 22nd, 2008 by Doctor Ut Sertabut. This seminar focused on understanding and is applicable for today’s architectural designs. The topics discussed were:

   1. Knowledge for energy within buildings for architect. 2. Energy saving new edition 2007. 3. Conscious design and Building material selection ie. Insulation, glasses and wall. 4. Green Architecture – LEED and TEEAM.

   It is a one day seminar and the registration fee is 300 Baht (for graduate students), 600 Baht (members), 1,200 Baht (Architects and for the public). Registration includes document sheets, lunch and coffee break. You will receive a certification issued by ASA when you pass the training program.

3. Seminar “5 Dimension Building Technology with Constructor 2”

   Constructor 2 is a technology computer software program which helps avoid errors in building construction industry. Virtual Construction ties the cost and schedule data so essential to contractors to a 3-D model detailed enough to be used for constructability analysis. The Contractor can extract accurate estimating information from blueprint and directly transfer the task to the Project Management program which is able to see the whole procedure in visual.

   This technology computer software program allows contractors to plan a 3-D model based Shop Drawing, Construction Estimating, Purchasing plan and Task Procurement that helps eliminate most of the constructability issues that could add costs and time later on.
